30 November 2017 – Amended the typographical error in clause 79b to correctly reference clause 76 instead of clause 71.


4 August 2017 – Policy amended to reflect the position and unit title change of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President, Research and Development to ‘Research, Engagement, Development and International ‘.


Following a review of the Academic Promotion Policy to deliver more simple, efficient and strategically aligned academic promotions, the Academic Promotion Procedures have been reviewed to ensure an efficient, fair and equitable process.

Applications for academic promotion will be accepted throughout the year. The Committee will meet three times throughout the year.

The University will now form one centralised Academic Promotions Committee, which replaces the four separate promotion committees. The committee will interview applicants applying to Levels D & E.

The appeals process has been reviewed and the Promotions Appeals Committee has been removed. The grounds for appeal have not been altered.

The application form and surrounding process has been streamlined along with the requirements around referee reports for applicants.
