(2) The University undertakes to assess all applicants through policies and procedures that are fair and equitable.

Section 2 - Definitions

(4) For the purpose of this policy, the following definition applies:

  1. Inherent requirements - refers to the fundamental parts of a course or unit that must be met by all students. They are the abilities, knowledge and skills needed to complete a course. Students with a disability or chronic health condition can have adjustments made to enable them to meet these requirements. There may also be other considerations, such as cultural or religious considerations, that may impact the capacity of students to meet an inherent requirement and may require adjustments. However, any adjustments must not fundamentally change the nature of the inherent requirement.
  2. the Director, Academic Program includes the Director, Academic Program for online courses, also known as the eDAP.
