Summary of Changes from Previous Version

23 June 2014 - Amendment to change the title for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and University Provost - Board resolution - Meeting 2014/1. 1 January 2012 - Amend policy to reflect leadership and management changes as approved by the Board of Trustees and effective 1 January 2012. Clause amended: 6 The policy was revised to make it more concise and less repetitive being mindful that the guidelines support the policy with practical information. The Clause 6 b. the definition for bullying was shortened by removing the last two sentences. The amendments do not change the definition and the material removed is found in the guidelines. Section 4 Procedure Repetition was removed by combining the procedure for dealing with bullying by employees and students into one process, highlighting different options within the individual clauses. The time frames within the procedure where shortened to 'two week periods' from 'one month periods' as significant concern was expressed by the UWS community about the longer periods of time (see clause 28, 30 and 31). Clause 24 the word remind was substituted by 'ensure that' to ensure that bullying is captured through OH statistics. Clause 27 was amended to provide Head of Units with a range of options to address bullying in line with those outlined in the online tool found in the Equity and Diversity website. Clauses Amended Policy: 6 Procedure: 11-30
