The Proposed amendments to the Procurement Policy are as follows: - More clearly sets out the procurement requirements for business units outside the office of Strategy, Business Development and Procurement - Reduces ambiguity and creates clarity through inclusion of 30+ additional defined terms - Creates greater flexibility through process and opportunity for process improvement by separating Policy from process - Consolidates the Purchase and Tender Board Policy, the Engagement of Independent Contractors Policy with the Procurement Policy - Streamlines the requirements for procuring at WSU including the necessity of risk assessments and other compliance aspects - Details Contract Management and execution requirements - Reduces administrative burden on business units by reducing the requirements for three written quotes for low risk low value engagements to one Procurement Policy
