Summary of Changes from Previous Version

1 July 2019 – Preliminary review completed – a full review is currenlty underway – to be completed by 31 December 2019.

17 October 2017 – Policy amended to remove references to the unit title “Office of Research Services” and replace with “Research Engagement, Development and Innovation”.

21 November 2016 - Policy amended to reflect unit title change of the 'Office of People and Culture' to the "Office of Human Resources".

8 July 2016 - policy amended to reflect the official name change of the University concurrent with the change to the University's Act and By-Law.Following an article in The Australian on 25 March 2015, which claimed the University of Wollongong had paid money to political parties since late 2012, the Auditor-General sought responses from all NSW universities in relation to whether they had made any political donations since the beginning of 2008. The Auditor-General used these responses to prepare a report to the NSW Parliament. The amendment to the Code of Conduct is in response to the Auditor-General's report to make it clear that University funds and credit cards cannot be used to make donations to any political party or political association (clause 20e).
