Summary of Changes from Previous Version

8 July 2016 - policy amended to reflect the official name change of the University concurrent with the change to the University's Act and By-Law.

Procedures have been moved to Section 4. New clauses added: (8)Commitment to increase access and successful participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Higher Education; (17) DVCA may, on the recommendation of the Dean, approve a candidate for admission to a specific course who does not otherwise meet the entry requirements; (19)The VP P&A may decline admission if they consider the applicant has, during a previous enrolment, demonstrated they will be unable to successfully complete the course; (22) Only applicants who have established Indigenous status will be eligible for admission to identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples programs; (24)&(26) English Language Proficiency - added the Pearsons test for English for some courses; added provision that alternative evidence of English language proficiency may be accepted; (15), (40) and (41) Deferment provisions are contained in the Policy and Procedures sections; (42) to (47) A Right of Appeal process has been added.
