Summary of Changes from Previous Version

22 February 2022 – Updated all references and links to the repealed ‘Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015’ with the ‘Higher Education Standards Framework (Thresholds Standards) 2021’.


The amendments to this Academic Senate approved document are submitted for approval under Delegation HH15. The policy has been updated to reflect the new nomenclature of the Student Management System (SMS). The terminology changes (as relevant) include: 


‘course’ to ‘program’; ‘unit’ to ‘subject’; ‘teaching session’ to ‘term’; ‘key program’ to ‘major’; ‘specialisation’ to ‘major’; ‘sub-major’ to minor’; ‘advanced standing’ to ‘Credit for Prior Learning’; ‘special consideration’ to ‘Disruption to Studies’; and ‘enrol in units’ to ‘register in subjects’.
