Summary of Changes from Previous Version

10 September 2021 – Document updated to reflect the position title change for Executive Director, Estate and Commercial to Chief Estate and Commercial Officer.


The review of this policy highlighted the need for some minor amendments to ensure that definitions and terminology used align with broader usage across the University and industry, and that the guidelines and standards referenced are relevant and current. Changes include amending ‘digital boards’ to ‘digital screens’, adding a definition for ‘commercial digital screens’, and making it clear that references to a unit/organisation in the policy mean a business unit/School/University-related organisation. Requirements have also been added for Office of Marketing and Communication’s design and approval of content on all University digital screens, and approval of content on all commercial advertising digital screens."
