The Medical Assistance Policy was introduced to address behavioural issues involving students with health (mainly mental health) conditions where it was not appropriate to deal with them under student misconduct procedures. The Policy has undergone a substantial review to align with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and focus on a trauma informed approach, and has been renamed the Student Health Leave Policy. The procedures have been removed from the policy into this separate policy document.Student Health Leave Procedure
