Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The Freedom of Speech Policy, Charter of Academic Freedom and the Explanatory Note have been brought together into a single, clear statement supportive of freedom of speech and academic freedom at the University. The revised and renamed policy is titled the Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom Policy. The provisions in the Code of Conduct will remain and will be consistent in its wording to the proposed new single policy. This is intended to produce the clarity needed while maintaining the existing strong protection of individual rights.
