Summary of Changes from Previous Version

Amendments include reducing the minimum number of members on the Student Panel from 12 to at least 10 and enabling the Panel to consist of a mix of undergraduate and postgraduate students instead of a precise number of each (clause 5(1)); amending the eligibility period for undergraduate students to no less than one teaching session of full time study instead of two (clause 5(2)); amending the process for gaining membership to the Student Panel from election to appointment by the Dean/College CEO (clause 5(4)); recognising the Graduate Research School does not have academic staff associated within (clauses 3(2) and 6(1)); setting a minimum number of professional staff, and including a College staff member, for the Professional Staff Panel and enabling professional staff who are on a contract of not less than two years' duration remaining to be eligible for appointment (clause 7(1)); making it clear the Director, Governance Services will determine applications for membership to the Professional Staff Panel (clause 7(2)) and may reject an application in certain circumstances (clause 7(4)); providing a list of professional staff who are ineligible for appointment to that Panel (clause 7(3); and removing references to the election process and to training requirements.
