Summary of Changes from Previous Version

7 June 2022 – NOTE: The Academic Promotions Procedures is retired with immediate effect.It has been subsumed by the revised Academic Promotions Policy and associated document ‘Academic Promotions Guidelines’ available via the ‘Associated Information’ tab in the Academic Promotions Policy published on 6 May 2022.


10 September 2021 – Document updated to reflect the position title change for the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor to Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost.


6 May 2021 – System Administrator Fix – Updated the placeholder for Academic Senate; Academic Promotions Committee; and Promotions Committee from the Division-based record to Committee-based record. Updated the position title for Senior Manager, Equity and Diversity to Director, Equity, Diversity and Support consistent with approved Change Proposals in the Division of People and Advancement.


Clause 7 provides the number of times that the Academic Promotion Committee will convene in any given year. This has been reduced from 3 times to two times at present. the Clause has been amended to reflect this change and leave the option of Committee meeting frequency more open for future years.
