Summary of Changes from Previous Version

12 May 2021 – System Administrator Fix – update placeholders for the ADP Appeals Committee and ADP Committee from Division-based records to Committee-based records.


16 April 2021 – Document updated to reflect position title change for Senior Manager, Equity and Diversity to Director, Equity, Diversity and Support.


25 September 2020 – Inserted note and hyperlink to reference the Policy Suspension or Variation Instrument – Academic Development Program (ADP) Procedures that is currently in place due to the COVID-19 crisis.


11 June 2020 – Deleted redundant position title “Director, Equity and Diversity” and replaced with “Senior Manager, Equity and Diversity”.


7 June 2017 – Update references to the “Gender Balance on University Committees Policy” and replace with the new title “Gender Equality Policy”


21 November 2016 - Policy amended to reflect unit title change of the 'Office of People and Culture' to the "Office of Human Resources".

8 July 2016 - procedures amended to reflect the official name change of the University concurrent with the change to the University's Act and By-Law.

The procedures have been amended to insert an invitation for applicants to provide a brief personal statement with their application (clause 8), remove Dean/Director Research Institutes from the list of those who can sit on an ADP committee (clause 16), increase the time within which an appeal can be lodged from 10 to 15 days (clause 22), increase the format in which employees can take ADP leave (clause 32), amend certain time periods from weeks to equivalent working days (clauses 6 and 21), and update titles.
