Summary of Changes from Previous Version

22/06/2022: Position name changed from Chief Student and University Planning Officer (Chief SUPO) to Chief Data and Planning Officer (Chief D&PO)


20 May 2022 – Deleted notes and links to the expired ‘Policy Suspension or Variation Instrument – COVID-19 Policy Response 2021’.


The Progression Policy has been updated to address a number of issues to ensure the policy can be successfully implemented in line with legislative and compliance requirements. Amendments include removing references to the Academic Appeals Procedures, as the ‘Show Cause’ process is now in place for progression matters and updating references to the forum to reflect the face this is currently a trial. Other minor amendments include: • allowing students the opportunity to appear in person to present their case, a detailed written outcome of the deliberations of the panel; • a requirement; to commence assessing the appeal within 10 working days of receipt; • references to the College have been removed, as third-party arrangements have been covered under clause (3); • a specific clause covering Foundation Studies students has been added, as there are different standards and a separate policy that applies to this program.
