Summary of Changes from Previous Version
This review of the Discrimination, Harassment, Vilification and Victimisation Prevention Policy and Guidelines has highlighted the effects of the broadening scope of the Fair Work Act 2009. The Act puts the responsibility on employers to prove that they have not adversely treated an employee on the basis of their race, colour, sex, sexual preference, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, family or carer's responsibilities, pregnancy religion political opinion, national extraction or social origins. The policy has been altered to reflect this.
