Summary of Changes from Previous Version

21 November 2016 - Policy amended to reflect unit title change of the 'Office of People and Culture' to the "Office of Human Resources".

8 July 2016 - policy amended to reflect the official name change of the University concurrent with the change to the University's Act and By-Law.

The definition of 'bullying' in clause 5a has been amended to make it consistent with the

definition of workplace bullying in section 789FD(1) of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) but so that

the definition under the guidelines continues to apply to both staff and students. Clause 5d has

been deleted as it is no longer accurate to state that bullying 'is an WHS issue and does not

have legal remedies through anti-discrimination legislation'. Clauses 5e and 5f have been

renumbered as a result of the removal of clause 5d. Clause 31a has been deleted to remove the

reference to 'Contact Officers' as these positions no longer exist at the University. Clauses

31b, 31c and 31d have been renumbered as a result of the removal of clause 31a. Clause 32c has

been amended to remove the outdated reference to the UWS Student Union and replace it with a

reference to the Student Welfare Service webpage. Clause 32d has been added to also refer

students to the Student Representation and Participation at UWS webpage.
