Summary of Changes from Previous Version

19 September 2018 – Policy amended to delete the redundant position title ‘Assessment and Graduation Manager’ and replace with ‘Senior Manager, Student Administration’.

25 October 2017 – Policy amended to delete the redundant position title “Associate Director, Student Progression” and replace with “Director, Student Administration”.

From 1 January 2016, the University removed the position of Academic Registrar, and the position was not directly replaced by another position. Many references to the position were replaced in University policies as minor amendments under delegation. However these changes could not be amended under delegation and were considered and approved by the relevant approval authority. [Academic Senate AS 17:01/04] A review also identified that there is some lack of clarity on the process of applying pending grades while misconduct proceedings are being finalised. The definition in Clause 35, Part D, Temporary Grades has been amended to provide clarity. This was approved at Academic Senate [AS 17:02/08] Part of the implementation of the new Disruption To Studies Policy required a minor amendment to the Guidelines for Academic Staff - Students Unable to Attend a Compulsory Unit Component which is an associated document to this Policy. The revised associate document will be published with this revised Policy. [AS 17:02/07]
