Summary of Changes from Previous Version

30 November 2020 – the document has been amended to reflect the renamed position title Executive Director, Student Services to Executive Director, Equity, Diversity, Safety and Wellbeing.


The Student Death Response Policy was originally published in 2007. In 2011 it underwent a full review which resulted in minor changes to include the entities and the activities of international students. The current version was published in 2013. A comprehensive review has been undertaken and the new, renamed, document incorporates a framework for the University to respond to the death of a staff member.
