Summary of Changes from Previous Version

21 October 2021 – System Administrator Fix – updated the placeholder in relation to the title change of the Advanced Standing Policy to Credit for Prior Learning Policy which did not update due to a cron task feature that prevented the automatic update for documents published as ‘future versions’.

4 May 2021 – System Administrator Fix – corrected the placeholder related to the expired unit ‘College’ and replaced with the correct placeholder to reference ‘The College’.

As part of the 21C Project, working parties developed a set of Curriculum Principles as the basis for the new CDA Policy. Consistent with the University policy on policies, the CDA Policy is a succinct statement of guiding principles, accompanied by more extensive mandatory procedures. This procedure is one of those documents, replacing the Course Advice to Students Policy. These procedures set out the way we communicate with and advise students about curriculum. This Procedure only covers areas of academic advice that lie within the ambit of Academic Senate approved policies and procedures. However, reference to non-academic advice and a Student Advice Cycle with a consolidated list of Student advice and linked services is available on the Student Advice Webpage.
