This revised and renamed policy replaces the former Disruption to Studies Policy. It simplifies the processes for requesting and granting special consideration where students are impacted by compassionate and compelling circumstances, consolidates provisions from the Assessment Policy and Disruption to Studies Policy into a single framework, and is designed for clarity, equity, and consistent application while embedding a trauma-informed approach to academic adjustments. 15/01/2026: System Administrator Fix – Typographical error – Clause 3 – corrected ‘compliments’ to ‘complements’.Special Consideration Policy
