Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The below changes were made as part of the 12-month implementation review of the Disruption to Studies Policy and Procedures:
• Introduction of new term (Disruption to Studies Event) to capture serious and unavoidable events and improve internal consistency.
• Clarify application of conditions which qualify as a Disruption to Studies Event including that it must be a temporary event of a discernible finite duration.
• Clarify that a student may only apply for a Disruption to Studies Provision once per subject for each Disruption to Studies Event.
• Clarify that Subject Coordinators are responsible for assessing whether it is appropriate to award a Disruption to Studies Provision and that there are some circumstances where there has been a Disruption to Studies Event that may not require a Disruption to Studies Provision.
• Terminology updates throughout and removal of duplicated content.
• Inclusion of reference to the Academic Appeals Procedures.
