22/06/2022: Position name changed from Chief Student and University Planning Officer (Chief SUPO) to Chief Data and Planning Officer (Chief D&PO) 20 May 2022 – Deleted notes and links to the expired ‘Policy Suspension or Variation Instrument – COVID-19 Policy Response 2021’. The Graduation Policy has been updated to include two minor changes, which were approved by Academic Senate at its 13 August 2021 meeting (resolution AS 21/04:03), but omitted in error in the final version of the policy when it was published in September 2021. Dean’s Medal changes: Amendment have been made to clauses (32) and (33) to reflect the change in process to now allow Honours students to be considered for a Dean’s Medal, unless they are recipients of the University Medal, as indicated in clause (36). Applying to Graduate: The term ‘applying to graduate’ has been changed to ‘registering to graduate’ in clauses (10) and (15) to reflect a change in this process, which was also included in the final version approved at Academic Senate in August 2021.
