At its 13 August 2021 meeting, Academic Senate approved the revised and retitled Credit for Prior Learning Policy, previously titled Advanced Standing Policy (resolution AS 21/04:06): The policy has been amended to update terminology to align with terminology being introduced with the new Student Management System (SMS). The policy also reflects improvements to the way students will be automatically granted credit based on the new Degree Works functionality within the new SMS, reducing the requirement for students to apply for Internal Credit (prior study at Western).
