Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The policy has been completely revised. It has been amended to clarify the types of workplace surveillance the University conducts, including surveillance in the form of routine monitoring that does not involve active surveillance; set out the circumstances in which the University is authorised to conduct workplace surveillance; specify more rigorous notice requirements to staff who are subject to workplace surveillance; establish a more rigorous process for obtaining approval to conduct workplace surveillance or access surveillance information or records; and include updates to keep pace with changes to technology.
