Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The revised policy acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which the University's campuses are located and states that, when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visual arts practitioners, the University will adopt the principles outlined in the 'Protocols for using First Nations Cultural and Intellectual Property in the Arts'. The revised policy includes an updated list of local government areas of Greater Western Sydney and acknowleges the moral rights of artists according to the Copyright Amendment Act (Moral Rights) Act 2000. The procedure section of the policy references the Tax Law Amendment (2014 Measures No.1) Act 2014 and the University's Gifts and Benefit Policy. An associated document "Exhibition Proposal Procedures in Western Sydney University Galleries" has been added. The revised policy has been endorsed by the University's Office of Audit and Risk Assessment.
