Summary of Changes from Previous Version

- Removal of the college committees and reallocation of their responsibilities, and corresponding revisions to the membership and terms of reference of the existing school and university committees;

- Formal establishment of School Research and Higher Degree Committees which may consider and advise on matters referred to them by the Dean; this may include matters that are related to the allocation of resources for research, reflecting current practice for many schools.

- Senate's Academic Standards and Integrity Committee is renamed as the Academic Appeals and Integrity Committee;

- The Academic Planning and Courses Approvals Committee (APCAC) is supported by Curriculum Quality Committees;

- Changes to the membership of the Research Committee, Research Studies Committee and School Research and Higher Degree Committees, including provision for membership by early- or mid-career researchers, and membership of each school committee by an Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research);

- Clarification of the arrangements for student representation on various committees, including arrangements for filling any vacancies that remain after the elections are complete, and addition of a higher degree research student to the Research Committee.

- Inclusion of the Director of Strategy and Quality, or nominee, as a member of Senate Education Committee.

- Further recognition of the roles that the Badanami Centre for Indigenous Education and UWSCollege play in delivering UWS courses and units.

- Recognition of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) as a potential member of a Senate Academic Integrity and Appeals Committee.

- Clarification of some terms of reference for the School Academic Committees, by being more specific about the meaning of "monitor".

- Removal of a research-related term of reference from the School Academic Committees, as this role would now be fulfilled by the School Research and Higher Degrees Committees.

- Changes to the membership of the School Academic Committees. The Associate Pro Vice-Chancellors (Education) are included as members; the roles of School Managers, senior professional staff such as Technical Managers, and representatives of the Academic Registrar's Office, are recognised; Badanami representatives are now members of the Curriculum Quality Committees, and there is provision for them also to be members of School Academic Committees.

- Corrections and editorial improvements.
