Summary of Changes from Previous Version

Clause 30a now requires Course Concept proposals to be developed in consultation with the Pro Vice-Chancellors (Education), and to include an analysis of expected effects on unit offerings and enrolments.

Clause 32d now includes substantial changes to resource requirements as a major course or unit set change.

Clause 33 requires major course changes to be discussed with the Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) and gives the Chair of APCAC discretion to refer a major course change to UWS Executive.

New clause 54 defines a 'new unit' for the purposes of this policy.

Clause 58 requires School Academic Committees to forward major unit variations to the Curriculum Quality Committee (CQC). A consequential change to the terms of reference of the CQC in the Academic Senate Standing Committees Policy gives the CQC authority to approve major unit changes.
