Summary of Changes from Previous Version

25 October 2017 – Policy amended to delete the redundant position title “Associate Director, Student Systems and Records” and replace with “Senior Manager, Student Operations”.


 


The External Advisory Committee Procedures were approved to replace the External Advisory Committee Policy via an electronic meeting of Academic Senate conducted from 12 to 19 December 2016 and have been published. A minor administrative amendment is now required to the Courses and Units Approval Policy to refer to the External Advisory Committee Procedures and provide the link under Section 5 – Guidelines. [AS 17:02/09]. At the 16 February 2017 meeting of the Academic Policy Advisor Group it was also noted that an issue had previously been raised regarding the Course Approval and Authorities Delegations to add or remove a location of offer. Considering the resource and management considerations of these variations, it was agreed that current delegations place School Academic Committees in a difficult position being asked to approve what is effectively a management decision. Therefore the delegation to add or remove a location of offer has been amended to be the relevant Dean(s) and retaining endorsement of BIDC/Executive (resourcing) with notification to APCAC and Academic Senate.
